Talk about sucking!
REASONS TO BUY: Great suction, ease of use, smaller size, excellent product quality and warranty.
REASONS NOT TO BUY: SEE insight #2 and price.

A few insights:
1. Performance: As other reviewers have suggested, it has sucked up a lot of carpet fibers, however, it also gets a great deal of dirt too. Our carpet is probably at the middle of its wear life. The stiff bristles on the beater bar may be the cause of both the carpet fibers and ‘extra’ dirt being picked up.
2. Wand and Hose: The idea it is GREAT, like the attachments, and it’s very user friendly, HOWEVER, the one negative I’ve found is that the ‘advertised’ extension length of the hose isn’t close to reality because of the stiffness of the hose. The base of the vacuum gets dragged as I move or you have to have a second person to hold it to get the full extension. This alone is my reason for my rating of a 4.
3. Cord length: I’ve been using the vacuum for about 6 months and haven’t been annoyed with moving the cord from room to room any more than I have with any other vacuum I’ve owned. Not a big deal if you don’t know what you’re missing I suppose.
4. Dirt tank: Smaller dirt tank than some of the others, but again, it hasn’t annoyed me. It’s very easy to dump, unattach/reattach to base, and didn’t require me to bang it on the side of the trash can over and over resulting in a cloud of dust.
5. The ‘Ball’: I’m generally a skeptical person when it comes to changing from something that’s worked fine for me and the change to the ball was a bit hard for me b/c it’s out of the norm. After using it once or twice, I had no problems or annoyances. Don’t let that be the reason you don’t buy it.
6. Performance with on a rug: We’ve got a new rug with short ?hair? and it works GREAT on it, but almost too good I think. I’m a little nervous each time I use it b/c of how hard it seems to beat and suck on the rug. If you take the option to turn off the beater bar and just use plain suction, it doesn’t get all the pet hair up….hmmmm…now what? This would be another point of criticism about this vacuum.

Overall…check this vacuum out for the reasons I stated at the beginning, but don’t be sold on it just b/c it’s the new Dyson Ball.

As other reviewers have suggested, if you’re going to get it, look for a Bed, Bath, & Beyond 20% off coupon. You can register to receive coupons from them on their website.

Very well made and smartly engineered
I’ve found this vacuum to be very well made. As others have mentioned, it _is_ made out of plastic, but it’s kind of like the difference between the plastics in a Ford Escort vs the plastics in a Lexus. It’s still plastic, but there’s obviously a tremendous difference in quality.
Having just done some remodeling in my house, there was dust everywhere, and I was a bit skeptical that any vacuum could do a really good job, but the Dyson really did do very well. It is very easy to use and maneuver, and as others have said, the cord is definitely too short–but that’s a very minor gripe. If you are the kind of person who appreciates well designed and well made products (Apple vs Dell, Sony vs Samsung, etc etc), you will really like this machine. Highly recommended.

Stop R&Ding (Research & Delaying) just buy it!
Was always interested in the Dysons. Really neat design especially for a vacuum cleaner. What can I say, I’m a sucker for “cool”. Anyway, I’m the guy who usually get’s stuck with vacuuming and I was tired of our Hoover. Big, heavy, not maneuverable and it didn’t “suck”. So, I started researching. Lots of choices but fell for the Dyson DC25. I actually read ALL the reviews, yeah really. For those of you who don’t read them all let me quote an early review of the DC15 (predecessor of the DC25 I believe) that had me rolling on the floor:

That did it for me. Discussed this with my wife who was a bit concerned about the price but she said ok. This is one slick vacuum. First, I noticed in some of the reviews that there was some actual complaining about the packaging and the being able to get the unit out of the box due to the styrofoam. No problems, they must have changed that as mine was in 3 pieces that were packed in cardboard packaging (off to the recycling thank you). I put the unit together in minutes….snap snap. Now sweat de da. Then it was off to testing. The unit is quiet or at least quieter than the Hoover (also a tornado style unit) and it is much better at maneuvering with the “ball”. Really nice. The hose/wand in the handle is neat. The larger canister is nice, especially in that you hit a button and it pops out. Take it to the trash can and hit another button and bottom opens and the “yuckie stuff falls out”. No touchie the yuckie stuff. Cool.
One of the recurring items in the BuZZ from Customer Shopping was that “their houses actually smelled better” after using the Dyson. Well, can’t confirm that yet as we haven’t been using it that much. Think that this may be due to the 2 hepa filters in the unit. (they have to cleaned….rinsed out … every 3 months). As some of you have commented….Dyson seems to be the Apple of the vacuum world. I agree, the unit actually looks nice….neat…cool. Did I mention a 5 yr guarantee???? I agree with only two complaints of owners. First, the unit will always start up in the brush mode. You have to hit a button to stop the beater. Wish that you could “tell” it what you wanted b4 startup but a minor point. Second, when using the hose/wand the hose is a bit stiff. It tends to pull the unit along with it. Well, I don’t use the hose that much so I can live with it. Maybe it will loosen up a bit later. For those out there with critters. We have 2 dogs and one cat. The Dyson does great with critter hair. I believe that Dyson does have a model that is marketed at people with critters. Don’t know how it could be any better than the DC25. Does anyone else shudder when you empty the canister? I mean is this stuff REALLY in the rugs???? BTW, we have wood floors with carpets, it does great on both. Did I mention that this thing “sucks”….in a good way. Amazon had the best price I could find but other have purchased with coupons at Bed & Bath for even lower but I decided to go with Amazon. If you are even thinking of a new vacuum I’d recommend the DC 25. Cheers

Great Action Figure
Unlike the last reviewer i did know what i was getting into, (maybe it did not say back when he bought it but now the title states its size)

I love this new Marvel Universe collection, the figures are at 3 3/4″ scale, just like all the Star Wars figures. which i collect, and even though i have some Marvel Legends figures (6″) here and there i was never into collecting them as i am probably will do this ones.

The Quality is Ok, but they did a great job on the painting. an it has many articulation points. the cap is wearing a suit im not familiar with, that lacks the infamous wings on the side of the mask. Price is a bit steep here in amazon, i received mine as a gift but know it cost $7.99 but i know this i rapidly turning into a collectors item, as the figure i currently going for more than 20 dlls. on ebay

Is Okay and is well made, in the description it did not stated the size of the figure, it is about 3″ and bit expensive for the size. If that information was given to me at the description, I would probably not had bought it. I could return for a refund, will see, I am collector of actions figures and I put value in what I buy vs. what I get and this one is a bit of shame due to the lack of information.

Drying even on hands, RASH on FACE And NECK
This product caused a rash on my face and neck so it is not as advertised ” for sensitive skin” and it dried the skin worse than being in the sun! I would not purchase again.
Why is it so difficult to find a good sunscreen?
Very frustrated….. had hoped this would be a great solution with all the 5 star reviews.

No ghost face with this sunscreen…
Fallene Cotz spf 58 is my new favorite sunscreen. I have tried just about every face sunblock on the Environmental Database – Skin Deep sunscreen review list, and this is the best by far, with Vanicream a close second. This is tinted so you don’t get that ghastly white ghost face in photos as you would with other zinc products. My skin is on the fair/olive side, so I realize this result will differ for those with darker skin. Another positive – there is NO smell, whatsoever. No pina colada smell, no medicinal smell, no coconut smell… love it.

Simple sunscreen
My dermatologist recommended I wear this since it is the simplest sunscreen available – hardly any chemicals – almost pure zinc. I love it.

Great Tasting Low Carb Bars – Highly Recommended

Not happy at all
I received the rollers two days ago. I have been a Conair customer for over 15 years and I was extremely disappointed in this product. The rollers were fine but the clips that came with them don’t even hold the rollers nor are they made for them. Where it normally takes me 5 minutes to put them in my hair, it took triple the amount of time, more trouble than it’s worth. It was so aggravating trying to hold them in place as they just didn’t grasp the roller. Having had enough I returned them this morning and to add insult to injury, shipping them back was $10.00. It will definitely make me think twice before I ever order another Conair item .

If I could I would give this product zero stars because that’s how bad it is. There’s no way to remedy the problems with these rollers. The clips do not hold the curlers in your hair and the rollers are so big that they don’t do anything for your hair. I’ve used different curlers in the past to curl my hair and these are, by far, the worst of the lot. I can’t decide if I should throw them away or try and sell them to someone else because one try was enough. I bought mine for $10 at a yard sale unused and still in the original box.
